apps ask you to stay.we start with your leave.

teadot is a one-time screen diet for your phone. less screen, more walking, a steadier bedtime. then you graduate, not renew.

a diet, not a ban.

three things grow. one thing gets a gentle leash. you see it all in a single glass, and the glass is yours: an ince belli, a to-go cup, a mate. whatever you actually drink from. no points, no badges, no streaks.

what would you do with it?

tell us roughly how much screen you have a day, then pick what you'd like back. roughly is fine.

14 hours a week

about 30 full days a year. that's yours to take back.

what the research says, and what it doesn't.

screen time isn't a villain, and the evidence is mixed. so we keep our claims small and show you where they come from.

time taken back from social media mostly went offline.

2,743 adults in the us paused facebook for a month. they gained about an hour a day, spent more of it with friends and family, and reported small gains in well-being.

limits: one platform, four weeks, paid participants.

a limit helped. quitting wasn't needed.

143 students kept facebook, instagram and snapchat to 10 minutes each per day for three weeks. loneliness and depressive symptoms went down compared with a control group.

limits: small, young, university sample; three weeks.

screen time alone explains very little.

across 355,358 teenagers in three large datasets, technology use explained at most 0.4% of the differences in well-being. how and when you use your phone matters more than the total.

limits: correlational; teenagers, not adults.
